ADP PAYROLL CLERK

Job Duties

- Knowledge of ADP payroll system.
-Ability to process a payroll of 160+ employees in ADP.
-Verify bi-weekly payroll for all salaried and hourly employees in ADP.
-Submit verified data on time to APD for payroll processing.
-Create reports to manage payroll payments, deductions, and other regular modifications.
-Monitor electronic clocks for accurate punch in and outs.
-Process data to the Payroll Provider.
-Create required internal management reports from the payroll system.
-Adhere to all procedures and policies.
-Maintain employee profiles, ensuring that they are up to date.
-Ensure time off data is accurate and processed accordingly.
-Be a liaison between departments and administration.
-Ensure all wage changes are made accurately and in time for effected pay periods.
-Follow payroll procedures for terminated employees.
-Stay current with payroll regulations, standards and work methods.
-Participate in required meetings providing input and recommendations.
-Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

-C
ollege Degree in relevant field preferred.
-Minimum 1 year ADP experience required.

-Work experience in accounting preferred.
-Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail required.
-Clear written and verbal communications.  
-Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.
-Good time management skills.
-Excellent attention to detail.
-Good data entry skills.
-Work well in a team environment.
-Able to maintain confidential information.
-Demonstrated knowledge of payroll processing procedures.
-Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices.
-Strong mathematical skills.
-Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
-Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
-Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

DRIVER/WAREHOUSE
This job is both driving and working in the warehouse.

Warehouse Duties/Responsibilities

-Loading and offloading trucks for deliveries to the stores, baling.
-Receives incoming store supplies and verifies that goods correspond to quantities invoiced.
-Performs all required loading and carriage responsibilities and the related paperwork as directed by the department supervisor.
-Safely carry, push, pull items that weigh 50 to 100 pounds a minimal distance of 40 feet.
-Operate forklift.
-Operate a baler.
-Wear safety clothing/equipment at all times.
-Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
-Physically capable of standing for long periods of time, bending, and pushing heavy loads.
-Safely work in all weather conditions Work and handle material in all environments including dust, pet hair/dander, various scents, heat, & cold.

Driving Duties/Responsibilities

-Responsible for operation vehicle and equipment according to safety rules and procedures.
-Responsible for regular transport of materials between stores within the Niagara Region.
-Occasional home pick-ups Safely carry, push, pull items that weigh 50 to 100 pounds a minimal distance of 40 feet.
-Maintain trucks and ensure they are operating according to safety standards.
-Abide by all ministry rules including posted speed limits.
-Wear appropriate safety clothing/equipment.
-Safely operate a truck including lift tail gate.
-Safely operate a vehicle in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

-Experience driving/operating cube vans, 20 Foot and 26 Foot box trucks.
-Valid “G” class drivers license with valid insurance.
-Valid forklift certification an asset.
-Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions and the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks.
-Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
