Employment Opportunities for people facing barriers to work
Skill Development Programs to help individuals gain valuable job skills
Affordable Housing for seniors in our community

Every dollar raised through sales at our Goodwill Donation Centres is reinvested back into the Niagara region to support these essential programs. Your donations stay local, creating lasting change in the lives of those who need it most.

Thrift with purpose,

This February, we honour 30 years of celebrating Black History Month, a time to reflect, learn, and recognize the remarkable strength, leadership, and contributions of Black communities throughout history and in our world today.

We’re committed to helping build a community where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported. That work continues every day as we strive to create opportunities that uplift individuals and strengthen the sense of belonging for all.

Thank you for being part of this community and for helping make a meaningful impact.❤️

We’re feeling so grateful after our Vansickle Rd. grand opening in December!

To everyone who stopped by, donated, shopped, and helped us welcome our new store to the community, thank you. Your support helps power local jobs, skill training, and second chances across Niagara, and we’re genuinely so grateful.💙

A big thank you as well to Rinaldi Homes for building this beautiful new location, and for being an incredible partner and landlord.

Here’s a little recap of the day. If you haven’t visited yet, we can’t wait to welcome you in!

The support we received was incredible, and it reminded us just how caring this community is. Thank you for making a difference!

Today, we’re honouring Rev. Edgar J. Helms, the founder of Goodwill, on his birthday.

In 1902, Helms started what would become the Goodwill movement with a simple but powerful idea: collect gently used items, provide meaningful job training and employment to people facing barriers, and then sell those goods to fund more opportunities. It was never just about “secondhand.” It was about second chances, skills, and dignity.

More than a century later, that purpose still guides our work here at Goodwill Niagara. Every donation and every thrift purchase helps keep opportunity local, supporting programs and employment pathways that strengthen our community.

Happy Founder’s Day, and happy birthday, Rev. Helms. Thank you for the idea that continues to do good, right where we live.
Due to inclement weather, the IceDogs game has been cancelled tonight, so our donation drive will be postponed.

Stay tuned for the new date, and thank you for your understanding and continued support.💙
